- Get to work.
Because we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10) Our hearts desire, more than anything, a way to justify ourselves before God. We know, deep down, that something is wrong in our relationship with Him, and that problem is called sin. In this search to reconnect with God, the first solution that comes to mind is to do some type of work or sacrifice to make God accept us again. Although this is an easy conclusion to reach, it is also useless and completely wrong. In this text, Paul makes it clear that our relationship with God occurs solely and exclusively through God’s grace. This means that our works and sacrifices do not serve to find favor with God or to reconcile with Him. However, the apostle does not say that works are useless. In fact, works are central to the Christian life, and they are because God planned them in our lives before we were even created. So, no work guarantees you anything before God. But from eternity, God has prepared works for you to carry out. Love your neighbor, pray fervently, care for the needy, read the Word. These are works prepared beforehand for you to practice. Everything you need from God has already been given to you by grace! It’s time for you to get to work. Are you trying to justify yourself before God? Recognize now that God’s grace is the only way you can please Him! Don’t stay still; there is much work to be done. Love, recognize, help, and encourage your neighbor. Share God’s grace with others. To pray: Lord Jesus, I thank You because through You I can enjoy divine grace. Help me to enter into the powerful presence of God every day, and may I find all my joy there. In Your name, Jesus, amen!
- If there is weeping at night...
Because His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4) When we sit down to look at photos of friends and family on social media, we sometimes forget that behind those moments of joy, there were certainly difficult phases in their lives. Yes, and it’s the same for us. From time to time, we face dark and cold nights that come suddenly and make us cry. In those sad moments of life, we can always find the best comfort in the Lord, our God. Today’s verses speak about that time of weeping, lament, and brokenness that we go through at certain moments in our lives. These are times of anguish, loneliness, pain, despair, loss... in short, various afflictions that attack us and make us realize how vulnerable we are and how much we depend on God. But hold onto hope, the comfort will come! Perhaps you are going through one of those “nights of weeping” in your life… Remember that the Lord is a present God. He does not abandon you. There is light and comfort in Him. The Holy Spirit intercedes on your behalf and brings the encouragement your heart needs. Going through the night Pray to God, pour out your heart, and surrender the difficult situations you are facing. Even if it is without words, pour out your tears and your heart before God, for He can help you. Seek daily refuge and feed on God’s Word. Ask for prayer. Call upon intercessors to join with you during this difficult time. Talk and share your problem with someone more mature in the faith. God also uses people to comfort and support us. Hold on to hope and gratitude, for Jesus promised that all those who mourn will be comforted. For prayer: Lord, I have no words or strength to express myself. Help me to pray! You know that my affliction is great, and You know the problems I have faced. Everything seems dark and without a way out! Give me the strength I need to keep going. I want to lay this humble prayer along with my tears at Your feet. Help me, for I only trust in You, Lord. Stay with me now and always. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
- The Lord is our strength.
In the journey of life, we face many challenges that can shake us. However, it is in those moments that we must remember that the Lord is our strength and our unshakable rock. As written in Psalm 18:2: The Lord is my rock and my fortress, my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18:2) When we feel overwhelmed, we can trust in the promise that God is our safe refuge. He gives us courage to face the storms and peace to overcome moments of anxiety. The strength that the Lord gives us is not only a refuge against danger, but also a continual source of strength and renewal. In His presence, we find hope and courage to move forward, even when the path seems difficult. So do not be discouraged! Place your trust in the Lord and allow Him to be your strength. With God on our side, we are more than conquerors. He sustains and guides us, strengthens our spirit, and empowers us to overcome any challenge. The Lord is our strength. Pray daily: Strengthen your faith by taking time to pray and seek God’s presence. Read and study the Word: Read the Bible regularly to renew your mind and find strength in the Scriptures. Fellowship with believers: Join a Christian community to receive support and encourage one another. Prayer: Lord God, strengthen us in the midst of adversity. May Your presence be our rock and refuge. Give us courage to face challenges and wisdom to follow Your ways. Renew our faith and hope each day. We thank You for Your constant love and protection. Help us always trust in You, knowing that You are our strength. In Jesus' name, Amen.
- The punishment that brought us peace
Isaiah 53:5"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." More than just words, Jesus gave Himself for us on the cross. He suffered, was humiliated, and died in our place. He took upon Himself our pain and our transgressions! What seemed like defeat through His death became a great victory. On the third day, Jesus Christ rose from the dead! Death could not hold Him, the devil lost, and we were freed from the bondage of sin. Being aware of this victory makes us more than conquerors. Recognizing Christ as our Savior allows us to walk in a new story: a path of faith and eternal life with Him! The punishment He bore was for you. Yes, He endured it all for you! Enjoy the peace that Christ has provided, value His sacrifice on the cross. Remember, no one else can give you the peace that Ch rist offers. The Peace of Christ Read the Gospel of John. Discover how much Christ loves you and everything He did for you. Talk to the Lord Jesus, He wants to hear your voice. Remember, He is always with you! Be an imitator of Christ. Following His steps brings us peace and leads us to victory. Prayer: Beloved Jesus, Your sacrifice was not in vain. Thank You so much for giving Your life for me. Being aware of Your love fills me with peace and gratitude. Thank You for saving me and loving me so much! Amen.
- Release the chains that bind you.
Ephesians 4:31-32 "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Are you imprisoned? You may not be literally behind bars, but you might still feel like a prisoner of negative emotions. Today’s passage begins by warning us to rid ourselves of those bad feelings, attitudes, and all forms of evil. It then instructs us to be kind and compassionate to one another, offering forgiveness just as God, by His grace, forgave us in Christ. Forgiveness not only serves to free us from the pain and bitterness towards those who have wronged us, but it can also free the person who imprisoned us. It’s like a double-edged sword: on one hand, it frees us from bitterness and vengeful attitudes, and on the other hand, in love, it extinguishes the offense of those who hurt us by breaking their chains. Release forgiveness, and you will no longer feel pain or resentment for the wrong someone did to you. Decide to forgive today: Understand that people need forgiveness. Jesus Christ forgives us because we all have flaws. Decide to forgive, regardless of the emotions telling you otherwise. Forgiveness is a decision, not a feeling. Pray to God, naming the people you wish to forgive. Free yourself from resentment! Do not reproach the person for what they did or try to take revenge. Just forgive. Find strengt h and encouragement in the Word of God. Place those who wronged you in the Lord’s hands. The one who hurt you also needs to receive God’s forgiveness. Prayer: Lord my God, I want to be free from feelings of bitterness and negative attitudes toward those who have hurt me. Help me not to be in conflict with others and to let go of the pain, resentment, and vengeance. Forgive me for the times I have failed, grieving You and others. Teach me to forgive and release those who have hurt me, just as You have forgiven me in Christ. Amen.
- The Path of Conversion
Psalm 119:29-30 “Remove from me the way of lying, and grant me Your law graciously. I have chosen the way of truth; I have laid Your judgments before me.” Much of the world still doesn't fully understand what conversion really is. They think it’s simply a change of habits or something psychological that a person decides at a pivotal moment in their life. It’s common to see comments from people saying when or how they should stop to choose their religion. However, what happens is what this psalmist describes. Notice that he is not turning from the wrong path by his own choice, but he is being guided away from deceptive ways. In other words, he is not converting on his own, but he is being led to conversion. What brings about this conversion is not just a momentary reflection or event, but the grace of God. Conversion is also not a shift from a deceptive path to an empty one, but quite the opposite. When we turn away from the world’s errors, we are faced with a path full of truth and life that we need to know and dedicate ourselves to. When God’s grace reaches us, we choose to follow His divine commandments. Make your decision Have you already left the deceptive paths of the world, or are you still being deceived by them? Turn to the Lord! Acknowledge that it was by God’s grace that you were saved. Like the psalmist, make the decision to follow God’s commandments and be faithful to the Lord of the universe. : Lord, I ask that You help me reach maturity. I thank You for finding me on the path of destruction, on the path of deception, and for placing me on the road of truth, where Your Holy Son, Jesus Christ, dwells. Lord, open my eyes and teach me Your law, so I may keep it in my heart and live joyfully. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
- God takes care of you! Exalt Him in season and out of season.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6-7) God is powerful and sovereign. Nothing happens in this world without His knowledge. When we face our difficulties, we realize how fragile we are. Who are we in front of the mighty hand of God? Despite our smallness, God loves us greatly. He loved us before anything else. He gave His only Son for us. He chose to love us and offer us a perspective of redemption. When we recognize what God has done, we receive even more provision from Him. Do not recognize the power of God only when you are going through difficulties. He wants your acknowledgment even when things are going well. Hard times will come, and that’s why it is important to seek God "in season and out of season." When we seek the presence of the Holy Spirit and read God's Word, we strengthen our union with the Father. Exalt Him in due time, and when the right moment comes, He will exalt you. Exalt God in season and out of season. Seek God through His Word. Reading the Bible builds our soul and our understanding. Dedicate a moment to prayer. Express your gratitude and present your anxieties. God wants to hear you. Speak about what God has done in your life and what you’ve learned from Him. When we talk about God, we acknowledge His deeds. To pray: Lord God, You are sovereign! You reign over all things, and nothing is too difficult for You. My life is in Your hands, and that’s why I feel protected and loved by You. Thank You, Father. Amen.
- It is good to choose to do good.
2 Thessalonians 3:13 - "Brothers, do not grow weary in doing good." When a doctor advises us to exercise, it may initially seem unappealing. Getting out of inertia requires effort and sweat. But once we begin exercising, we start to see the first benefits: our energy improves, and our self-esteem strengthens. The same happens with doing good. It may sound like a cliché, but when we practice doing good, we receive benefits from God in every area of our lives. When we make an effort to do good, we not only help others but also cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in ourselves: love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Remember, doing good may require effort, but it is the best choice we can make. Do not grow weary in doing good. Just like exercising, it is important to be well-nourished. Feed yourself with the Word of God and practice doing good freely. After practicing good, resistance may arise. Keep doing what is right, and that opposition will not prevail. If obstacles come, ask God for help. Ask Him to soften your heart. God is love! To pray: Lord, put in me a kind heart willing to do good. I want to make an effort to do Your will. Help me do what is right. In Jesus' name, Amen.
- You have a special talent.
Romans 12:6-8 (NIV) We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. (Romans 12:6-8) In Romans 12:6-8, we are reminded of the beauty of the diversity of gifts that God has given us. Each of us has unique talents given by divine grace, so that we can serve the Lord and the community in different ways. The essence of this message encourages us to recognize and value these gifts, using them with dedication and enthusiasm. If your gift is prophesying, do it with the depth of your faith, letting God’s word flow through you. If your gift is serving, do it with humility and love, remembering that even the smallest act of service is great in the eyes of God. If you teach, inspire and enlighten minds with wisdom and patience. If your talent is encouragement, you bring optimism and hope, strengthening the hearts of those around you. If you give generously, know that your generosity makes a difference in the expansion of God’s kingdom. To lead with zeal is to lead with integrity and passion, showing the way with firmness and compassion. And when you show mercy, do it with joy, reflecting the infinite grace of God in each act of kindness. Remember, every gift, when used for the glory of God, becomes a powerful tool for transformation. Let us use our gifts with gratitude and enthusiasm, building each other up and glorifying the name of the Lord. Awaken Your Gifts Identify your gifts : Reflect and discover the unique talents you have. Serve with joy : Use your gifts to help and inspire others. Seek growth : Constantly improve your talents to serve God better. Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank You for the gifts You have given me. Help me to identify and use each talent with wisdom and love. I want to serve with joy, teach with patience, and give generously. Guide me to lead with zeal and show mercy with joy. May my life reflect Your grace, encouraging and inspiring all those around me. Amen.
- If the Lord Had Not Been...
Psalm 124:1-3 (NIV) "If the Lord had not been on our side—let Israel say—if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us, they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us." Having the Lord on your side makes all the difference. Even when you face struggles and afflictions, God's presence delivers you from unimaginable evils. The psalmist thought about what would have happened had God not been present during their times of greatest distress and concluded that it would have meant their destruction and that of the whole nation. The same could happen to us… Consider the people of Israel: the Lord is the one who has made all the difference between liberation and tragedy in their midst. This people has managed to escape by the skin of their teeth many times throughout history. We only need to remember the wars, sieges, dominations, exiles, massacres, mass exterminations, bombings, and terrorist attacks. From a natural perspective, this people should have disappeared a long time ago. But they continue to exist for one very strong reason: the Lord has been on their side. The Lord is always on your side. Think for a moment: where would you be today if it weren't for the Lord? Pray and be aware of God's presence in your life every day. Thank God for the deliverances and blessings He gives you (many of which we don’t even realize). Remember those who live without God in their lives. Pray and evangelize so that they too may recognize God's grace and be saved. Prayer: Lord God, I acknowledge that many times I have attributed my victories to my own efforts. I have also thought that You were far away in difficult moments. Still, I recognize that my life is a miracle because of You. If it weren’t for You, where would I be? Where would any of us be? Help me to be aware of this and to remember that Jesus is always with me, supporting and protecting me. I praise You and thank You for that. In Christ’s name, amen.
- God came to us.
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us"). (Matthew 1:21-23) Have you ever had the chance to meet or talk to someone famous in the media or politics? Maybe it happened by chance, but the truth is that this is not very common. As a general rule, famous people don’t make it easy for people to approach them. It’s natural that things work like this in the world: people with a certain status, fame, authority, or a lot of money are inaccessible and out of reach. If there was ever a need for personal contact with an artist, authority figure, or someone very famous, it would be very difficult to arrange. You’d have to check their availability in advance with their assistants, secretaries, producers, insurers, etc. But, hallelujah! The logic in God’s Kingdom is very different. The all-powerful God came to meet us. He, who can sustain the entire universe in His hands, gave up His glory to come and save us. Exalted above the heavens and the earth, Jesus Christ came personally to us. He is God with us ! The best part is that we don’t need intermediaries to approach Jesus. There’s no need for any human representative, angel, or religion to speak with or be with Christ. He is fully human and fully divine and desires a relationship with us. Jesus took the first step… Go meet Him! He came! Pray and thank God for Jesus Christ. It is because of Him that we have free access, communion, and peace with God. If you haven’t received Him into your life yet, do it now! He is only a prayer away… Invite Jesus to be with you throughout the day: when you're with family, at work, at school, on the street, at church. Learn more about the Lord Jesus through reading and studying the Bible. Share with others about the presence of Jesus, God with us always. For Prayer: Lord God, thank you so much for sending us Jesus. He became flesh and dwelt in this world because of His love for us, to reach us for You. Thank you, Father, because Your Kingdom is one of life, love, and You do not despise the humble who seek You with a sincere heart. May I receive Christ every day in my life, in my home, and wherever I go. Stay with us, Lord, now and always. Amen.
- The Friendship That Lifts You Up
Ecclesiastes 4:10 "If one falls, the other will lift him up. Woe to the one who falls and has no one to help him up." Friendship can be constructive and edifying when we walk together in the path of faith. It’s not good for us to be isolated, as we are part of a body. It’s not pleasant to be alone, isolated, with no one to share both joys and tribulations with. In a healthy friendship, one friend can help the other. If one falls, the other helps him get back up. That’s why it’s important to cultivate fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. True friendship is the one that encourages you to seek God more. Something you should remember is that even when we are alone, Jesus is our best friend. Christ never abandons us, and the Holy Spirit comforts our hearts. In the walk of faith, opportunities will arise to meet other brothers and sisters and build friendships centered on Jesus. Friends in Faith Seek friendships that build your faith. In this way, both of you will be strengthened. If one of your friends has a problem, try to help them. You may need a helping hand in the future. Encourage your friends to seek God. A good friend strengthens the other's faith. Prayer: Lord, You are my best friend. Your sacrifice saved me and reached many others. Today, I have friends who are closer than brothers. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
