  • Walking on water

Lord, if it’s You  — Peter replied — tell me to come to You on the water.Come  — said Jesus. Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.(Matthew 14:28-29) In life, there are seasons when we must face storms, and this is inevitable. But we must always remember that God is by our side, even in the midst of the most difficult situations. It may seem like an obvious statement, but it’s quite common for us to forget about God when life gets complicated. Often, we only remember God when the situation reaches its breaking point. God allows these storms for our learning and to take us to a higher level of faith. Miracles happen when things seem impossible, and that’s when our faith is put into action. After that miracle in the storm, Peter had the opportunity to experience something more. In obedience to Jesus’ word, he placed his feet on the water and went to meet Christ, experiencing the supernatural. When we are with Jesus, we have the chance to experience something more in our lives. The more we learn with Jesus, the more we experience His power. Our faith is built up, and this is how we walk on water to meet our Creator. Step out of the boat! Be attentive to God’s voice. Pray, meditate on His word, and cultivate intimacy with Him.Learn to identify the situations in which you need God’s help. Maintain a balance between your independence and faith. God wants us to mature spiritually. When you find yourself in a situation where you need to put your faith into action, fix your eyes on Christ and His word. Peter walked on water, but it didn’t last long because he shifted his focus to external factors. For prayer: Lord Jesus, I know that all things work together for the good of those who love You. Create in me a heart that trusts more in You and in Your word. Give me the necessary conditions to learn and grow in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Thirst for God

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?  (Psalm 42:2) But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; but the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.  The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw." (John 4:14-15) This passage from John 4 is part of an unlikely conversation Jesus had with a Samaritan woman. It was noon, and they were by a well. Jesus was physically thirsty, but that woman had a thirst in her soul. Jesus offered what no one in the world can offer: the true source of satisfaction. With a fair amount of certainty, that woman, like you and me, had probably tried to quench her existential thirst with many sources of joy. But none of them had worked until that day when she had her encounter with Jesus. The Lord is the only inexhaustible source that satisfies our souls. Seek to drink from the water that Christ gives. Only in His presence will you feel completely satisfied. Drink from the right source. Don’t confuse having a full and satisfying life with obtaining the riches and pleasures of this world. Drink directly from the true Source: Jesus Christ. God is the source of clear waters. Think about this: no impure or artificial drink can satisfy thirst like pure, clear water. Don’t be deceived by the other things in this life... Only God can fill the emptiness in your soul. Return to God and be filled with Him.  Read the Bible and pray, asking the Lord to fill your heart with the fullness of life that Jesus Christ gives. Prayer: Lord God, You are the source of living waters. You are the pure, clear, and inexhaustible source that strengthens and fills the emptiness of my soul. Help me to seek Your presence when I walk through the deserts of life. Be my breath in times of dryness, affliction, and anxiety. Deliver me from the deception of illusionary oases. I need You, Lord! Just as the thirsty one needs to drink, I depend on You. I pray to You in the name of Jesus. Amen.

  • Just 3 little words

This song, "God is love, God is love, the Bible says so," is simple but carries an important message that resonates not only with children. God is the living definition of the word love. Salvation came to us through His unconditional love. Even when we were still sinners, Christ loved us. He knew us when we were in our mother's womb. God's love has a multiplying effect. When we feed on God's Word, we overflow and love everyone. The more we love God, the more we love our neighbors: "Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." (1 John 4:7-8) So, just like children, keep these 3 little words in your heart: God is love! Perfect yourself in God's love. Seek God's presence through His Word. The more we seek God, the more His love surrounds us. Loving is a constant exercise. Practice compassion and self-control daily. Be an imitator of Christ. He is the best example of how we can perfect ourselves in love. For prayer: Lord, I want to learn to love. Thank You for Your love and for making me feel loved by You. Use me as an instrument in Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • God is the owner of silver and gold.

"The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine," says the Lord of hosts.  (Haggai 2:8) This verse reminds us that everything that exists, whether material or spiritual, belongs to God. Silver and gold, which are symbols of wealth and value, are under His control. We must understand that God is the true owner of all things, and what we consider our possessions are not something we have achieved on our own. When we understand that God is the true owner of everything, we learn to trust Him more and to live with greater humility. Our wealth and possessions are temporary and are under God's care. In His goodness, He provides us with what we need, and it is to Him that we should be grateful. This truth also calls us to manage well what we have, as we are merely stewards of the blessings God gives us. Thus, this verse reminds us that true security is not in money or material goods, but in God. He is the owner of all things and the one who sustains us at all times. Remember that everything belongs to God: Acknowledge that your possessions are temporary gifts from God. Trust in God, more than in wealth:  Your security is in God, not in material things that can disappear. Be a good steward of what you have:  Use your possessions wisely, always seeking to honor God in your decisions. Prayer: Lord, we acknowledge that everything belongs to You. Help us trust You more than our riches, and to manage well what You give us. May our attitude toward money and our decisions honor Your name, always remembering that You are the source of all provision. Amen.

  • God desires our good.

My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent His rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, as a father the son he delights in. (Proverbs 3:11-12) Many times we go through struggles and tribulations. Through many of them, we learn, or at least, we should learn. Remember that everything that happens in our life should point to the glory of God, even in times of difficulty. It is a mistake to think that accepting Christ guarantees a life without effort or struggles. Living with Christ means being aware that, in the midst of difficulties and challenges, God is always with us. Knowing that God is by our side makes a great difference in the way we face the problems of our life. That’s why we should not despise the Word of God. No matter how harsh it may seem, it is through these words that we are led to eternal life. The Word of God is like pruning a plant: a cut is made to improve its growth. God "prunes" us from certain things that at first may seem difficult to let go of, but over time we realize that God has placed us on the right path. That’s why we must stay alert, for every discipline given by God is for our spiritual growth. He wants our good, and there is no need to fear! He is our good! If the Holy Spirit stirs your heart to do – or to stop doing – something, obey! Surely, that is the best choice to make. Be humble in heart. A humble heart accepts rebuke and instruction. God desires our good. There is nothing that God does that aims to humiliate His children. If you find yourself in sin, acknowledge it and ask God for forgiveness. He is merciful. Always! To pray: Lord Jesus, I want to thank You for Your presence and Your protection. Teach me to live according to Your Word. Help me grow! I want to learn more of You. In Your name, Jesus, Amen.

  • Inspiration for Your Day

Waking up every morning is a precious gift that God gives us. It is important to remember that each new day brings with it the opportunity to renew our hopes and dreams. In His infinite goodness, God gives us the chance to start anew, to be better than we were yesterday. This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24) You may be facing difficulties that seem insurmountable, but remember: God never gives us a burden we cannot bear. He walks alongside us, offering His strength and comfort. When we feel weak, it is in the Lord that we find the power to keep moving forward! The Bible teaches us to trust in the LORD with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). We may not always understand the purpose of the trials we face, but we can trust that God is in control, and His plan is perfect for our lives. So, rise up with the certainty that you are loved and cared for by a God who knows every detail of your life. Let His peace and love fill your heart and guide your steps. Face the day with courage, knowing that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. May each moment of this day be an opportunity to remember God’s grace in your life. Be light wherever you are, spreading love and kindness, and allow God’s inspiration to make a difference in your day. Start the day inspired by God Start the day with prayer, handing your worries to God and thanking Him for His blessings. Trust in God’s plan, even if you don’t understand it, and seek His guidance continually. Spread love and kindness, being light to others through your daily actions. Prayer : Lord, I thank You for this new day and for Your infinite goodness. Guide my steps and fill my heart with peace and love. Strengthen me in times of difficulty and help me to trust in Your plan. May I spread Your light and kindness to all those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • Have a Special Moment with God

O LORD, in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will present myself to you and wait.  (Psalm 5:3) God invites us each day to spend time with Him and listen to His voice. With the hustle and bustle of life, we often forget to pause and seek that special moment with the Lord. But just as we need food for our bodies, our souls also need spiritual nourishment to face the daily battles. Taking a moment to speak with God is a practice that strengthens our faith. The Lord wants us to trust Him, even when there are storms. When we stop and come into His presence, we are reminded that we are not alone, and He is powerful enough to guide us and take care of every detail. The best way to begin a moment with God is through a simple prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts. As we open the Bible, we can read a verse or passage that helps us reflect on it. It may be something we need to hear for our lives in that moment. God speaks to us through His Word, and when we seek understanding, He grants us wisdom. In addition to reading and praying, we can also bring our fears, worries, and dreams to God. He cares about everything that happens in our hearts. At the end of that time, we will feel peace, knowing that we have entrusted everything to Him. Make the daily commitment to have such a moment. Even if it's just for a few minutes, seek that time with God. He renews us, strengthens us, and reminds us of His unconditional love. With God by our side, we are ready to face any challenge. A moment with God Set a fixed time:  Choose a time of day to be alone with God. Read the Bible:  Meditate on a text, seek to understand it, and apply its lessons daily. Pray sincerely:  Speak with God, share your joys and difficulties, and seek His guidance. Prayer: Lord, thank You for this day. I give You my worries and joys. Guide my steps and grant me wisdom to act with love and patience. May Your peace fill my heart and strengthen me. Help me to live according to Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

  • God will never leave you nor forsake you

Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord Himself will go before you and be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. These words were spoken by Moses to the young Joshua. Imagine having to lead a people in the conquest of a great promise! Just thinking about it makes us realize how great the challenge was. When Moses spoke these words to Joshua, he wanted to make it clear that Joshua would not be alone: the Lord Himself would go ahead of him! In fact, these words were more than a prophecy; they were a testimony. Moses was a living witness that God had gone ahead of His people. From the Exodus out of Egypt to entering Canaan, the Lord never abandoned His people. God is faithful and keeps all His promises, and it was with this certainty that Moses encouraged Joshua. The same God who led them out of slavery would guide them to possess the promise. Do not be afraid; God will never leave us. Sometimes, when we look back, we feel alone, but in reality, God is there ahead of us. As we follow His steps, we are able to move forward. God is not only with us, but He also helps us keep moving forward, confident in His promises. Do not be discouraged, do not fear, for the same Lord will go before you. He will never leave you. Strive to have a deeper communion with God. Those who seek Him will find Him. Read the Bible. When we know the promises and see what God has already done, our faith grows and our will to keep moving forward increases. If you feel alone, pray. Talk to God; you have access to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Prayer: Lord God, You are faithful and never abandon anyone. I want to thank You because You are with me in all situations. Guide me in the direction of Your promises. In Jesus' name, amen.

  • Increasing Intimacy with God

For me, the good is being close to God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge to recount all His works. (Psalm 73:28) Our God is alive and wants to have a relationship with us.
