Friend at all times

Proverbs 17:17"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."
In this increasingly individualistic and materialistic world we live in, we are constantly tempted by selfish desires and forget the needs of others. We are surrounded by values that are more focused on "me" and "having" rather than seeking "being" and loving. We stop seeing people as valuable and worthy of our love, friendship, and care. Unfortunately, we adopt this attitude of isolation and indifference even in our relationships with family and friends.
If we don’t have trustworthy friends by our side, it may be a sign that we are not being the type of friends we could be. There are many people around us who are waiting to rely on us. Jesus Christ, our best friend, also teaches us to love and be good friends to those near us. If you feel like you don’t have a friend you can count on at all times, be that friend to someone who needs it. How precious it is to give (and also receive) support and love from a true friend!
Be a friend at all times:
Be the best friend to your friends and seek to be close to them at all times, like a brother.
Enjoy joyful moments of communion, and don’t distance yourself when they need you the most.
Give what you hope to receive. If you desire to have sincere friends, take the initiative and be a true friend.
Friends can disappoint us, as they are human and make mistakes just like we do. No matter what happens, it’s worth opening your heart, loving them, forgiving them, and staying united.
If you think you don’t have friends, start with your household. Love, care for, and be a friend to your family members.
Pray for your friends. Pray with them. Take care of those whom God has placed in your life.
Share, read, and study God’s Word with the friends God brings to your side.
Always count on the best friend: Jesus Christ!
To Pray:
Lord my God, You are the best friend we can have in this life: always present, always faithful. With You, I learn to be a better friend, loving and serving my neighbor the same way You love and care for me. Help me to be a good friend to those around me. Teach me to care, to be interested, and to love everyone who comes near me, especially in their most difficult moments. Thank You for bringing special people into my life: my family, friends, and brothers and sisters who make my journey more complete and happy. Amen.
