“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Are you feeling tired today? The daily pressures of traffic, work, school, family, and church—along with all the commitments, bills, deadlines, schedules, and limits... Ah! Does the constant “rush” of everyday life weigh you down and drain your strength? If you’ve been living on autopilot for a long time, repeating the same tasks day after day without taking time to rest fully... it’s time to come to Jesus.

Remember, fatigue steals your energy and your ability to enjoy the good things in life. It’s not God’s will for us to live under such a heavy burden. It wasn’t in vain that God Himself established a day of rest. He even gave us the example by resting after creation! Set aside time today to have a meeting with Jesus. He offers the rest and relief your heart and mind desperately need.

Rest in God and receive relief:

  • Come to Christ in prayer and share your burdens with Him. Ask Him to renew your strength today.

  • Acknowledge that God is in control of your life. Don’t be discouraged or feel alone—He is always there to help you!

  • Use your daily routine to your advantage—whether at work or during your commute, lift your mind and heart to God. Listen to worship music (and sing along if you can!), pray silently, or take moments to read and meditate on God’s Word.

  • Dedicate one day a week to spend quiet time alone with God. Bring to Him all the difficulties you faced during the week. Thank Him for all the blessings you received. Receive the calm of His peace and rest in His presence.

  • Enjoy the life the Lord has given you, and thank Him for all He does.

A Prayer to Pray:

Lord God, I feel weary from all the activities, problems, and commitments I’ve faced. I come to You humbly, asking for Your rest and peace. Only in You can I find relief from every burden and affliction I have endured. Help me to include You in my daily life and to live joyfully, giving thanks for Your help and companionship. Thank You for making my load lighter today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
