Jesus loved Martha, her sister, and Lazarus. (John 11:5)
Jesus loves families! He cares about each member of your family and wants your home to always have its doors open to receive Him with love! The Lord desires to be a part of our homes, to be welcomed with love, praise, and worship.
Today's verse tells us that Jesus loved a small family from Bethany consisting of three siblings: Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. These siblings served Jesus and His disciples with kindness and hospitality whenever they passed through that region, welcoming them warmly into their home. Martha excelled in service, Mary was a fervent worshiper, and Lazarus received Him diligently.
When this family faced a terrible moment with the sickness and death of Lazarus, Jesus went to meet them. He comforted the sisters' hearts and did something that was impossible for men: He gave life back to Lazarus! And He can do the same for your family.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life. He can give life to your broken marriage, He can free those trapped in addictions, restore broken relationships, heal the pain of the soul, and carry your heavy burdens. Trust in the Lord—nothing is lost!
Jesus loves your family.
Invite Christ into your home. The family was established by God from the beginning of creation. It is the cradle of love, faith, friendship, and the consecration that Christ wants to develop in each of those who belong to Him.
Don’t stop praying for your family. Pray with your family and seek the Lord, interceding for those who are far from Him.
God can do all things. He has not given up on your family. No matter how difficult the situation, place everything in His mighty hands.
Incorporate biblical values into your home. Read the Bible with your family, study together, sing praises, and pray as one. These practices will bear spiritual fruit in everyone’s life.
A prayer:
Heavenly Father, it’s wonderful to know that You care for every member of the family, for all the loved ones around us. Thank you, Jesus, for caring for all: parents, children, spouses, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, uncles, etc., with Your love and grace.
Renew the shaken relationships, transform the wounded hearts, free the captives, and save those far from Your ways. Visit each one and help us with our needs, loving Father. May Your Word guide us to Your presence, and may You always find a place in our home, as well as in the hearts of all.
Stay with us, Lord, and do what no one else can do! We believe in Your love and Your power! In the name of Jesus, we pray and give thanks! Amen.
