Be generous with what God has given you.

Some give generously, and receive more than they give; others don't even pay their debts, and end up in misery. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:24-25)
Generosity is a precious treasure. This attribute is perfectly reflected in the way God treats us. With great generosity, He gave us His Son Jesus, and along with Him, He provides all the essentials for our existence and even much more than we need. Many people reflect this divine principle by graciously sharing with others what they have, even when they have little.
God delights when we imitate Him in generosity and love. He rewards those who give joyfully and care for the needy. Multiply the blessings you’ve received by sharing them with those in need. You can be sure that Christ will reward you.
Practice generosity
Pray, open your heart, and extend your hand. "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." (Matthew 5:7)
Do not withhold what God has granted you. Remember, we do not lose when we give.
Give spontaneously and discreetly. "Do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing." (Matthew 6:3)
Even the little you have can be multiplied with God. Look around you and help whenever you can with what is possible.
Do not give expecting something in return. That would be selfish bargaining, not generosity. God knows the intentions of the heart. God loves those who give joyfully. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Imitate the Lord, give generously, and see how the satisfaction of the needy does good to your heart.
For prayer:
Lord God, thank you for everything you have done in the lives of your children. I give you thanks for the greatest gift given through Jesus Christ. There are hard times, but You have given me much more than I need. Therefore, I ask that You open my heart. I cannot close my eyes to those in need. Whether they are near or far, Lord, help me to help. Even if I can only give a little, I want to imitate Your generosity. Bless all those who are generous and reward them according to Your infinite grace. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
